Peoples' Way

The City purchased the Peoples’ Way property at 3744 Chicago Ave. in June 2023 and has worked with community members to identify a long-term, community-centered vision for the site. 

After a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process and community engagement, City staff recommended Minnesota Agape Movement as the development partner. In June 2026, the City Council voted to deny the recommendation, ending the RFQ process. 

The City is considering future options for the property and will continue to own and maintain the site. Updates will be shared as they become available.
