About City of Minneapolis Open Streets

Open Streets transforms busy city streets into spaces for people, not cars.

During Open Streets events:

  • Streets close to vehicle traffic for a limited time
  • People can walk, bike and roll safely in the street
  • Local groups offer free activities and events
  • Businesses along the route stay open and welcome visitors

There is no starting point, you can join anywhere along the route.

Open Streets helps people discover neighborhoods, connect with their community and support local businesses.
