Aldrich Ave S sanitary sewer improvements
Project overview
The City of Minneapolis Public Works Department will repair the sanitary sewer under Aldrich Avenue South, between West 27th Street and West 32nd Street.
The project will repair about 3,330 feet of sewer pipe using a method called cured-in-place pipe (CIPP). This method adds a new lining inside the old pipe. It helps strengthen the pipe without digging up the entire street.
The project will also replace some existing maintenance holes and add new ones where needed. Some digging will be needed to complete this work.
Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2027 and may take up to 13 months. Work will happen in stages, so construction will not take place near every property for the full length of the project.
This project will help extend the life of the sewer system and keep it working properly. The City thanks residents for their patience while this work is completed.
